{"id":199,"date":"2017-05-09T13:08:41","date_gmt":"2017-05-09T12:08:41","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.aikidoryu.org\/?page_id=199"},"modified":"2024-01-15T02:01:43","modified_gmt":"2024-01-15T02:01:43","slug":"membership-fees","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.aikidoryu.org\/?page_id=199","title":{"rendered":"Membership Fees"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Fees from RWAF membership will be used for the administration of the RWAF and for the hosting of events on the RWAF calendar such as demonstrations and seminars.\u00a0 Any remaining capital may be used to subsidise visits by Ryu Honbu Dojo or Ryu All Japan Aikido Federation instructors to member dojos and member countries or to subsidise visits by members to train at Ryu Honbu Dojo or attend events hosted or supported by the RWAF such as the Urayasu City Aikido Demonstration. \u00a0 The RWAF aims to keep fees as low as possible to make membership as accessible as possible. \u00a0Fees are as follows:<\/p>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: center;\">DOJO MEMBERSHIP<\/h2>\n<hr \/>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: center;\">Affiliate Dojos<\/h3>\n<hr \/>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Entrance fee:<br \/>\n<\/strong>\u00a515,000<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: left;\"><strong>Yearly membership fee:<\/strong><br \/>\n\u00a510,000<br \/>\n+<br \/>\n*\u00a5300 pp adults (16+ years)<br \/>\n*\u00a5100 pp kids<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<hr \/>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: center;\">Associate Dojos<\/h3>\n<hr \/>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Entrance fee:<br \/>\n<\/strong>\u00a515,000<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: left;\"><strong>Yearly membership fee:<\/strong><br \/>\n\u00a510,000<br \/>\n+<br \/>\n\u00a5300 pp adults (16+ years)<br \/>\n\u00a5100 pp kids<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<hr \/>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: center;\">INDIVIDUAL MEMBERSHIP<\/h2>\n<hr \/>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: center;\">Ryu Aikido Members<\/h3>\n<hr \/>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Entrance fee:<br \/>\n<\/strong>\u00a510,000<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: left;\"><strong>Yearly membership fee:<\/strong><br \/>\n*\u00a53,000 pp adults (16+ years)<br \/>\n*\u00a51,000 pp kids<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<hr \/>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: center;\">Non-Ryu Aikido Members<\/h3>\n<hr \/>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Entrance fee:<br \/>\n<\/strong>\u00a510,000<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: left;\"><strong>Yearly membership fee:<\/strong><br \/>\n*\u00a53,000 pp adults (16+ years)<br \/>\n*\u00a51,000 pp kids<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<hr \/>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.aikidoryu.org\/?page_id=12\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Click here<\/a> for an explanation of the different kinds of dojo membership.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.aikidoryu.org\/?page_id=14\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Click here<\/a> for an explanation of the different kinds of individual membership.<\/li>\n<li>The financial and membership year runs from the 1st of April to the 31st of March the following year.<\/li>\n<li>Fees must be paid in full by the end of June every year. \u00a0In May every year, the General Secretary will send an email reminder that annual membership fees are due.<\/li>\n<li>Members are only liable for annual membership fees in the <strong>second year of membership.<\/strong> \u00a0On approval of membership, members pay the entrance fee only. \u00a0Thereafter, they only need to pay the annual membership fees by the end of June following approval of membership.<\/li>\n<li>Entrance fees must be paid within one month of application for \u00a0membership being accepted.<\/li>\n<li><b><\/b>Yearly membership fees for member dojos are capped at JP\u00a510,000 plus JP\u00a560,000 for adults and JP\u00a520,000 for kids. \u00a0 This means that yearly membership fees for <strong>200 members and above<\/strong> shall be a maximum of JP\u00a510,000 \u00a0plus \u00a560,000 (for adults) and JP\u00a520,000 (for kids.) \u00a0Dojos may form regional or national federations and register with the RWAF as a block to take advantage of this system.\u00a0 (Where this is the case, such federations must provide democratic representation for the interest of all member instructors and dojo representatives. \u00a0Furthermore, dojo membership can not be given to more than one national organization in any one country. \u00a0Please see Section 4.1.5 in the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.aikidoryu.org\/about-rwaf\/statutes\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Statutes<\/a> for further details.)<\/li>\n<li>Late fees will incur an administrative penalty fee of 10% per year.<\/li>\n<li>Member dojos and individual members whose fees are not paid-up may lose membership of the RWAF. \u00a0Member dojos will be removed from the &#8220;Member Dojo&#8221;
